Step-by-Step Application Process
- Register Your Business — BRS registration via eCitizen. You need a Certificate of Incorporation or Business Name Registration.

Eldoret's industrial corridor rezoning has silently upgraded SBP fee categories for businesses near the Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Businesses in the SEZ perimeter — even small shops — now pay the higher industrial tier rather than the retail tier. Check your exact ward classification on the portal before paying, because the portal sometimes defaults to the old pre-rezoning category. The M-Pesa Paybill 646464 also doubles for land rates and rental payments, so use the correct invoice number to avoid misallocation.
